All on X Services and Appliances

We plan together.  We restore together.
Surgical Plan & Guide

Together we plan the surgery from start to finish using intraoral scans, CT images, and patient photos. Considering the vertical dimension needs of the patient and the properites of the restorative material, a plan is made to either remove bone and/or open or close the bite, if necessary, to best restore the patient's smile. A waxup is designed and incorporated into the surgical plan. Once the plan is approved by the surgical doctor, the guide is manufactured. We can make arrangements to be in your office on surgery day if needed.

Same Day Surgical Provisional

Surgery Day. The lab is present remotely. Surgery is performed following the surgical plan and using the sugurical guides. Intraoral scans are transfered to the lab. The digital waxup is adapted to the implant position. Unanticipated changes made to implant position during surgery are not problematic. Abutments can be rotated if needed to accommodate screw channels. The printed surgical provisional is seated. Patient is on a very soft diet for six weeks.

PEEK/PMMA Surgical Provisional

The patient is ready to transition to a PEEK-PMMA hybrid of the surgical appliance (PEEK bar substructure and PMMA superstructure) six weeks post-op. We do not redesign because we do not want to disturb the healing tissue. At this appointment, the doctor verifies that osseointegration is as expected and the implants are healing. The patient can now eat more types of food. The PEEK/PMMA appliance has the strength to accommodate the patient's stonger bite.

The Tryin

The patient gets a new tissue scan at the 3-month post-op appointment. The PEEK/PMMA provisional is removed then scanbodies are placed on the abutments and scanned along with the bite. A tryin is designed and printed. This appliance is a prototype of the final and is used to check asthetics, and the bite only. It is less bulky than the surgical provisional design that the patient has been wearing. It is not intended to be worn for regular occlusal function. Replace the tryin with the PEEK/PMMA provisional until the final is delivered.

 Final
Zirconia-Titanium Prosthesis

The final is designed with a titanium bar substructure and a zirconia superstructure. Once this appliance is seated, follow the appropriate protocal for re-care treatment.
